Only working smoke alarms save lives
Choosing a smoke alarm for your home, RV, caravan or boat might seem confusing. Let us help you make a decision.
Hardwired or battery?
Hardwired means it's connected to your mains power with a backup battery for blackouts; if replacing hardwired choose a 240volt smoke alarm and have an electrician install it.
10-year battery means it has a battery that will last for the service life of the smoke alarm (10years) as its power supply.
You can install it yourself using screws or our purpose made double-sided tape.
If you are replacing a hardwired smoke alarm you must replace it with a hardwired smoke alarm.
Otherwise, a 10-year battery powered alarm is a great option as you can install it yourself
what type? and how many?

v) be interconnected with every other smoke alarm in the dwelling so all activate together.
All smoke alarms sold by MiFire meet these requirements
