We purchased a 10 year non wired smoke alarm and had issues setting up. I emailed John (on a Sunday afternoon! not expecting a reply straight away). Not only did we get a reply (some 15 minutes later!) but, refreshingly, it came in the form of a phone call from John himself!!!! John explained that the instructions which come in the box needed updating and walked us through the instructions on the phone! Got the smoke alarm working, so far, so good. We were replacing a different brand similar alarm which had been going off for no reason and we'd only had that one for a couple of years. John explained that the alarm should be cleaned regularly and to wipe some bug spray occasionally to avoid bugs and spiders which can cause nuisance alarms and extend the life of the device.
All in all, pleasant purchase experience and good old fashioned service. Thanks John

Really great product, work well. Have you thought of doing a rechargeable product.

Make sure that you "Turn On" the Wireless Smoke Alarms manually yourself if the Mounting plate is not attached to the Smoke Alarms before starting the wireless connections. The On/Off switch is inside on the back of the Wireless Smoke Alarm.
